I started my pilates training in 2014, 3 months after the birth of my first born Suki, i had continued my pilates practice right up until my due day, and after a natural and speedy recovery i was back in the studio soon after. 

Pilates is the perfect type of exercise for your mind and body whilst pregnant,  due to its emphasis on pelvic floor engagement, and focus on maintaining a strong core which can help to prevent any lower back pain, which is common as your body goes through so many changes. I fell in love with how strong and empowered it made me feel to still exercise safely as my body changed. 

During the labour, the diaphramatic breathing techniques we emphasise so deeply in class were exactly the same deep long drawn lout breath i used during my labour,  and my second delivery was within an hour!! 

After a second positive experience i wanted to share the knowledge i had learnt through my own experience with pregnancy and pilates, so decided to specialise in pre and post natal pilates. 

I wanted  to help other women realise they could remain strong throughout their pregnancies safely just like i did. 
I love being a part of these woman’s journeys from start to finish, and seeing the babies come back into the studio when their mum’s are ready to start training again. 

That is the reason why the studio is completely child friendly, and i am happy for clients to bring their babies/todddlers/teenagers to class if it gives mum an opportunity to work out and not have the aded worry of childcare.

Thank you Kim for helping me create and maintain a strong core throughout my 3rd pregnancy. Recovery post c-section has been so much easier this time around and I’m putting that down to my Pilates sessions with you! 

Being an ex-dancer I felt it was so important to keep flexibility and strength and that’s exactly what my sessions have given me. Not to mention you always make them fun!! 

I have trained with Kim for nearly four years now. When we first met I was expecting my first child, Kim kept me motivated to train twice a week thorough out the pregnancy, staying active helped with back problems through the pregnancy and I believe contributed to a straightforward labour, i was able to relate to breathing techniques we would use in class. 

I am now expecting my second child and continue to train with Kim, I feel putting the hard work in while pregnant massively aids to a faster recovered after birth and plan to return to training soon after. Sessions are fast paced, Kim continues to vary the content of her sessions even after four years! She stays up to date with new techniques/routines. Reforma Pilates has become a huge part of my life now and I can’t thank Kim enough for her hard work and dedication which has nearly seen me through two pregnancies.

I started Pilates with Kim during my first pregnancy, I was suffering with backache and our sessions really helped with strengthening my back thus relieving the back pain. 

I would train with Kim twice a week, she kept me motivated throughout my pregnancy with her upbeat varied sessions. 

I knew I was working my tummy muscles but I never dreamt of the results.  A few months after giving birth I had for the first time in my life defined stomach muscles. 

Post pregnancy I continued Pilates with Kim. The sessions were a great way to  get me exercising again without making me feel too tired to do anything else. 

I first started reformer Pilates when I was pregnant with my 3rd child I was 6 months pregnant. I was in a lot pain struggling to walk, struggling to turn over in bed, the pain was unbearable! I Started to do 1-2 sessions with Kim a week and wow what a difference it made, it was unbelievable!! Kim is amazing and really knows her stuff I love my sessions with her im definitely more stronger now then I have ever been, my body and mind feel amazing 🥰
